Volume 2, Issue 3: Predtech is Bigger - and so Much Worse - Than I Realized
Predtech is a word I invented that combines “predatory” and “technology”. I've defined it in two ways:
1. predtech (noun):
Computer technology that is designed to track, compile, profile, and share to various third parties - without our knowledge or consent - our internet and mobile application usage data, for the ultimate purpose of grooming us to accept dangerous behaviour as normal.
2. predtech (adjective):
The nexus of policy, law, economics, education, psychology, communications, and computer science that the predator class has been deploying against the rest of us, for their personal benefit, at our great expense.
To help you keep it all straight, I decided to formalize these two definitions as g-predtech (for “grooming”); and n-predtech (for “nexus“), respectively.
That being said, I’ve been struggling to figure out the precise relationship between these two forms of predtech. I knew the relationship mattered, but I didn’t quite know how.
I’d been thinking of it in terms of the precise mechanisms by which g-predtech got sublimated, or transformed, into n-predtech.
Now, I realize that I was mistaken.
Now, I realize that it’s actually the other way around: n-predtech is what allows g-predtech to exist.
Why?
Because every element of society that can be used to create a predatory nexus is used to enable the development, funding, adoption, and acceleration of grooming-based computer technology.
